Mindfulness Meditation

We are practicing observing without judgement
What is Mindfulness Meditation?

“Mindfulness meditation is a consciousness discipline revolving around a particular way of paying attention in one’s life. It can be most simply described as the intentional cultivation of non-judgmental moment-to-moment awareness.”

How does it work?

There are many approaches and ways to practice mindfulness meditation. Whether you are sitting, lying down, or walking, the practice involves slowing down and being more still. This allows your nervous system to settle, quiet, and become more focused. The invitation in practice is: to inhabit yourself fully in the present moment, to clarify an intention, to observe with acceptance, and to be non-judging of your inner experience.
During both individual and group sessions, instructions and guidance will be given for each practice. There will be a focus on awareness of your body, inclusive of breath, internal and external movement and your senses. Mindful movement is also part of the practice.

Why mindfulness meditation practice?

Mindfulness practice helps shift you to become more aware of thoughts, feelings and body sensations instead of being overwhelmed by them. It invites you to become more accepting, curious and open toward your own experience.
